Most of the marks will be given for making an attempt to do the assignment on time, but a smaller amount will be given for correctness. Because circumstances (e.g. illness) may prevent you from handing in an assignment, the assignment receiving the lowest score will not be counted. Assignments are normally due Thursday, at the start of class. Late assignments will be accepted until Friday, 10:00 am, but may be subject to a 25% penalty. This part will account for 8 of the 10 marks.
The second consists of easy, multiple choice questions, done using Moodle. These are based on reading the textbook for the next class, and are due before the start of each class. They will not be accepted late; the two lowest scores will be dropped (this is to cover situations such as illness); and they will count for 2 of the 10 marks.
